How I Make Pasties…

I don't know near you, but I am a busy Mom. I don't always have time to make things from scratch, or chop piles of vegetables. You absolutely could practice that if you lot want! Detect a large bowl to mix all of the ingredients for the filling. Combine the frozen hash browns, frozen peas & carrots, and hamburger/onion mixture. Add 1 tablespoon each Common salt & Pepper. Stir and combine well.

Filling the Pie Crusts

If you are using the pre-made Pillsbury pie crusts similar I am, make sure you let them sit at room temperature for almost 15 minutes before using. It even says on the box! I failed to read the directions for my first one and the pie crust was also common cold and bankrupt apart. Of grade, once it was at room temperature, I was able to press the dough back together.

Roll out a pie crust. Identify nearly 1 cup of filling onto the pie crust. Wet the edges all around the pie crust. This will help it stick together. Fold your pie crust in half and press the edges together. You can apply your finger to crimp the border, or you tin use a fork.

Place on baking canvas lined with parchment paper.

Egg Wash

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 32 ounce Frozen Southern O'Brien Hash Browns
  • 24 ounce Frozen Peas & Carrots
  • 1 Big Yellowish Onion chopped
  • vii 2 ct. Pillsbury Pie Crusts
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 Tbsn Milk
  • ane Tbsn Common salt
  • 1 Tbsn Pepper

Filling:

  • Brown ground beefiness and saute chopped onion until translucent. Drain grease.

  • Combine frozen hash browns, peas & carrots, and meat mixture into a large basin.

  • Add one tablespoon each, Salt & Pepper. Stir well to combine.

Assemble Pasties:

  • Allow pie crusts to sit down at room temperature for about fifteen minutes before using.

  • Roll out pie crust. Place virtually ane cup filling on half of the crust.

  • Wet edges of crust with a bit of h2o. Fold crust over, pressing edges together.

  • Utilize your fingers or a fork to crimp the edges together well.

Egg Wash

  • Combine egg and milk in a small-scale bowl. Beat well with fork.

  • Use a pastry brush to lightly brush egg wash on elevation of the assembled mucilaginous.

  • Preheat Oven to 400 degrees.

  • Serve with Ketchup or Gravy.
